I can not believe I am updating my blog after 6 months! Well at least you know it is a genuine self written update if it has taken me this long. So much has been happening these last 6 months, we kicked off the beginning of the year with the PIP Implants fiasco where so many women found themselves caught up in a very serious health scare as a result of a fraudulent breast implant manufacturing company in France. The situation is still very much alive and on-going.

As a member of the aesthetics industry and very much an active part of the cosmetic surgery world, I pledged to help as many women as I could even though my motives for wanting to help were questioned by a small minority group of women, sometimes good intentions will be questioned, (I even had a website created and negatively dedicated in tribute to my efforts and desire to help, wow!) but many people who know me and know of my good standing and reputation have actually decided to ignore the attempts of a few critics to undermine my hard work and genuine compassion).

There are so many people that have made the hard work worthwhile these people support, understand and believe.

The sad thing about being a public persona is that no matter how genuine your desire to help in a charitable capacity, some people will always try and cast a negative doubtful light over your endeavours.

My lesson learned? Persevere. Persevere. Persevere. Never give up. I hope you do too if you believe in a cause and want to truly help and make a difference.

Despite many obstacles, I persevered and went on to help, I am both proud and delighted to have personally funded and hosted my own fundraising event for a group of PIP ladies at The Paradise Wildlife Park, it was a great fun day watching a wonderful group of women come together to help each other.

Today I still continue to help PIP victims on a more private basis, its shocking saddening and disappointing to know that so many women are still left struggling with unanswered questions and unresolved serious threats to their health.

Within just three weeks in March this year I wrote a book called PIP Breast Implants-The Guide, it was hard work to say the least, this is?a record for me to turn a book around in three weeks! but I did and I am proud, I donated my first royalty cheque to hosting the fundraising event at paradise wildlife park for PIP ladies.

The important subject of breast implants and safety led me to write a guest article for www.sofeminine.co.uk on the subject of “are breast implants safe”? this in depth article covered a lot information about breast implants in general, in turn I was also invited to be part of a panel for a video documentary on breast implants, which I thought was very useful for people considering different types of breast implants for breast surgery. http://youtu.be/etEAem6gD2c

Subsequent to my PIP Implants book, I was asked to write a book on Foot Care, although not a glamorous subject it seems in terms of general health care, millions of people in the UK have common and complex foot problems where no information is readily available. Feet are amazing and they carry us through life so they deserve a bit of TLC.

Personal matters meant that for a while I stopped writing and working, but for someone like me work is always the best medicine, so with that in mind I threw myself into the fun of filming a trailer for the www.myfacemybody.com 2012 awards in London, was great fun being a secret agent on a mission impossible styled trailer. http://youtu.be/L7g8cw0AhnY

I am delighted to have been asked by Stephen Handisides to join the fabulous judging panel. A masquerade awards event with a twist. I am sure it will be great fun indeed.

I have been involved in lots of fun press and media projects including a fantastic photo shoot styled by the amazing celebrity stylist Rachel Fanconi for WOMAN magazine, talking about beauty addictions and my secret (well not so secret anymore!) lipstick collection. Watch out for the July 30th issue.

With Summer just around the corner I was asked by Emirates Woman magazine to comment on fake tans, SPFs, skin cancer and the sun, with that in mind ladies (and gents) please can I remind you to take good care of your skin, I had a small cancer scare years ago and it led me to seriously think about my skin, so please take care of yours. Life is too beautiful.

I very much enjoyed the FACE 2012 Conference this year in London and as always you always learn something new, the annual FACE ball at Madame Tussauds, this year was truly amazing and I enjoyed every second, can’t wait for next years event.

Watch out for my new Hot 100 eBook launching in Autumn 2012 with the best 100 products, treatments, experts, surgeons that I have personally sourced and researched to be the ones that make a real difference. I am asked every day by thousands of people what really works and who the best experts are at delivering results so this book seems the best way to share this information and it is FREE.
