A recent survey published asks: “Is Britain bored of Botox?” the survey reveals:

– 3 in 4 Botox users want pain-free alternative to injections

– Ongoing Government review of injectables turning consumers to other treatments

Lines and wrinkles are an inevitable part of growing older, as our skin matures and we lose volume in our face. Botox and fillers were once the treatment of choice for those hoping to look young and fresh-faced, but with many seeking glowing skin without resorting to surgery, is the British love-affair with injectables finally over?

According to a recent *survey 3 in 4 (74%) UK consumers that have tried Botox or dermal filler treatments would welcome a non-invasive alternative to the painful injections that also offers safe long term results.

These findings come in light of the Government review on injectables by Sir Bruce Keogh, who warned consumers of lack of control on certain procedures, calling this area of cosmetic surgery a ‘crisis waiting to happen.’

As repeat Botox treatments can be both uncomfortable and expensive (the average annual cost of Botox is around £800), men and women are looking for alternative, painless remedies to banish wrinkles and look younger. With concerns that Botox has fallen into the wrong hands, and calls for tighter guidelines on who can administer dermal fillers and the muscle relaxing injection, many consumers are looking for safer ways to look their best.

This is welcome news to Dr. Nick Mohindra, owner of Added Dimension Dentistry, who has a special interest in facial aesthetics and facial ageing. Dr. Mohindra has noticed a significant increase in demand for Oralift- a natural facial rejuvenation treatment designed to address and help delay the signs of facial ageing.

Dr Mohindra, who pioneered the non-surgical appliance, says that while Botox treatments are often recommended to treat crow’s feet, the Oralift can affect facial volume and make you look younger and fresher- permanently and safely.

“When the signs of ageing begin to show, most people would rather be able to treat them without having to resort to painful treatments or surgery,” Dr Mohindra explains.

“Oralift is a unique device created to freshen and tone the face using a small mouth guard appliance designed to fit over the lower teeth. It requires absolutely no recovery time, and has none of the risks associated with Botox,” he says.

Unlike with Botox, there is no topping up or replenishing necessary, no repeat treatments, and if used correctly will have no unwanted side effects, which will be welcome news to men and women looking for risk-free, long-term results.

“Not only is it comfortable to wear, it fits into your daily routine- whether it’s whilst doing your ironing, watching TV in the evening, or taking the kids to school. You simply wear it for 2 hours, twice a week,” he concludes.

Oralift’s success has been well documented, with The Cosmetic Surgery Guide calling it ‘groundbreaking’.

“There is no denying Oralift works,” says Laura Casewell, editor of the definitive guide to cosmetic surgery and aesthetics in the UK. “And in light of the ongoing cosmetic surgery review, with so many consumers looking for alternative treatments at the moment, it’s understandably becoming quite popular.”

My opinion is that I don’t see Botox declining in popularity any time soon, but it’s good to read about possible alternatives for those who want to know if they exist and actually work?, I would be interested in any feedback from the public who have tried Oralift….
