Saturday 4th October, The Soho Hotel London: I launched my first ‘Build-A’Beauty-Blog’ Workshop at The Soho Hotel, (The Indigo Room) and it was a great day and a successful event. With a packed room of 40 delegates attending, the event sold out, so it was great to have a full house.
Accompanying me on the marvellous journey was PR Jenny Pabila and Web Marketing Consultant Mark Bugg, together we took our delegates on a journey of enlightenment from the ground up: we covered the following subjecst and more in 3 hours:
Why Blog
WordPress or Blogger
Protecting your blog from security attacks/threats
Keeping your blog updates
Design & Style
Establishing Identity
Content
Disclaimers
Social Media and Marketing
Three hours whizzed by, and the interaction with the delegates was fantastic. I aim to make my workshops as interactive and as informal as possible. I’ve been to far too many events where I have nodded off, no disrespect, people want to be inspired and learn new things and finally walk away motivated not bored.
I will be holding these workshops throughout 2015, my planned workshops already in line for delegates to book are as follows:
How to Build A Beauty Blog
10 Steps to Twitter Success
How to be you own PR
How to Build a Brand
The Ultimate Vlogging Workshop (featuring a top superstar beauty blogger)
There are others also planned
I’ve learnt so much through the outset of my career that it made sense to me to share it with everyone, I once read that the key to real success is sharing it with other people and this is true.
It was with much delight that I provided each delegate with a goody bag for them to go away and enjoy and review. There was some fantastic feedback about the huge goody bags.
Ultimately, the events success was measured by the response of the delegates which was overwhelming.
I extend my kindest thanks to all the delegates for attending, Jenny Pabila and Mark Bugg and to the all of the brands for their inclusion in the goody bags.
I have attached some of the photographs of the event as posted by delegates, more will posted soon.
My next new workshop 10 steps to Twitter success is now available for booking on-line and will be held on the 1st November at The Soho Hotel.
