It’s rare that I come across a beauty product that I get really excited about. Being in the beauty business somehow desensitises you to all the new and wonderful products that come on the market. Having a skin clinic in Harley St means that I am a prime target for sales people with the next miraculous product that will guarantee the slowing of time in a “Death Becomes Her” sort of way.
When I came across the DMK foundation I was truly speechless, and those that know me know how rare that is. This is not a mineral foundation. It comes in cream form and it glides on the skin. But what makes this foundation so special, so great that I am screaming it from the roof tops? Where do I start? Firstly, it’s antiseptic! Yep, that’s right, it KILLS BACTERIA! This is fantastic news for people with acne. It breaks the vicious cycle of covering your spots with a thick foundation that clogs your pores causing more spots because you’re spreading the bacteria around your face.
DMK foundation is made of 50% pigment which means that the tiniest bit gives the most exceptional coverage. In fact, this foundation can be used to cover up tattoos! When you seal it with translucent powder it becomes water resistant. This foundation is oil and paraben free.
DMK foundation is often used on film sets in America because it holds in the heat making it ideal under hot lamps.
DMK foundation covers the whole range of shades from Caucasian to African and everything in between.
I love the way it goes on. It is silky smooth and makes my face looked air brushed without feeling heavy.
This foundation doesn’t rub off on your phone or when kissing people. Won’t melt under hot lights and will stay on your face until you take it off.
My personal reasons for loving DMK is that it doesn’t settle into the ever increasing fine lines on my face. I don’t have to worry about it melting when I’m under hot lights or on hot summer days. I love the way it photographs! It looks like silk on my face and it covers all sorts of misdemeanors that we don’t want showing up in these dreaded days of HD television! The most surprising thing about this foundation is the price. It’s £30 and on the basis my face takes about a quarter a pea size it lasts FOR EVER!
