Long lasting lip tints and lip stains are fantastic when we need a colour that will endure the whole day, however how can we safely remove these products without causing harm to the skin? here’s my simple 4 step guide
How to Remove Lip Stain and Long-Wear Lip Colors
- Clean your face and then use a makeup remover (preferably an oil-based product will work best on long-wearing and long lasting formulas) use a tissue or clean cloth to blot away any oil or residue, don’t rub hard just gently cleanse away the product.
- Apply a medium thick (not too much) layer of petroleum jelly onto the lips. Let that sit on the lips for approximately 3 to 4 minutes.
- Dampen a clean washcloth with warm water. Using the wet washcloth, wipe away the petroleum jelly gently, this will completely remove the lip color. (Quick Tip: use circular motions for some gentle exfoliation, but again don’t be too harsh.)
- Rinse and dry. Be sure to apply a moisturising lip balm when you’ve completed the process
