8th June 2015, Busy day with the lovely Eamonn Holmes at Sky News HQ, London, recording two interviews: one live and one pre scheduled, both broadcast on the same day for my response and thoughts to new government regulations announced. It is great to share the awareness about Safety in Beauty, I am really privileged it has become a widely talked about campaign and subject.
The GMC is proposing that UK doctors should allow patients seeking surgical enhancements, such as face-lifts, tummy tucks or breast implants, or non-surgical interventions, such as dermal fillers and Botox, “enough time and information” to change their minds about whether to proceed with treatment.
It also wants medics to be more open and honest with patients about the risks involved in treatment, and to take particular care when working with young people and children.
The professional body is now consulting with the public and doctors about these proposals to make cosmetic procedures safer.
