Week 2 of My Proskins 28 Challenge

It’s the end of week two of my Proskins 28 Day Challenge.

I had a challenging week indeed last week, as I underwent a small operation to my abdomen (no need to go into the nitty gritty as it’s women’s stuff!). Anyway one general anaesthetic later, I emerge bleary eyed from surgery and embark on my week of post-surgical recovery. The problem with abdominal surgery is swelling, fluid retention, and general puffiness, which I have to say is depressing at any given time, let alone after surgery. So I make the sensible decision to wear my Proskins in addition to the abdominal compression garment given to me by the hospital following my surgery.

On day one I feel no difference at all, and my cellulite seems even more prominent thanks to the wonderful gallons of fluid retention I seem to be harbouring after surgery, So no result here. By day 2, there is a minor improvement, but it think this has to do more with the fact that I am lying down all day with my feet up ‘trying to rest’ as the doctor so affectionately likes to put it, (I call it wallowing in guilt, as my two young kids, scream and demand for their mother to be back on her feet at their beck and call).

By day three swelling is much better, at this point I am sleeping, breathing, living, existing, in my Proskins, and overall in conjunction with the abdominal pressure garment I start to feel massive benefits and a sense of less puffiness overall.

In a bid to understand this, I read more about the fantastic scientific data behind the technology of Proskins. A controlled level of scientific pressure promotes blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, flushing fluids and toxins from the body which would otherwise bind with collagen in fat cells, causing cellulite.

It’s another feather to their cap I think, compression and circulation following surgery, who’d have thought?.

I put Proskins to the test straight after surgery, I can safely say the proof is right here.

On a final note, Proskins really are quite ‘addictive’ psychologically, they’re the first thing I reach for when in a mad dash for the school run,I know I may sound weird saying this, (but those of you who now wear them and love will know where I am coming from), I feel not only comfortable in them, but re-assured that I am wearing clothing that apart from covering my skin, is ‘actually’ doing something for me.

That’s what makes them rather fabulous.
