There’s nothing we love more at The Cosmedic Coach office than a polish with some glitter, right now nail trends are incorporating glitter in a really lovely, cool and edgy way, but removing glitter polish can be an utter nightmare so here are some tips gleaned for you from top nail professionals.
- Completely saturate a cotton ball in acetone remover, make sure the product is a good quality one, the cheaper brands tend to be quite harsh and abrasive
- Place the cotton ball firmly against the nail against the nail.
- Cut some strips of aluminium foiled into ten equal long strips, Wrap the nail in a strip of aluminum foil to keep the cotton ball in place. Squeeze the aluminium foil securely so it fights night and tightly against the nail and cotton ball.
- Allow a few minutes whilst the remover gets to work. I would say five minutes is enough, assuming that you saturated the cotton ball in enough acetone.
- Press down to remove the cotton ball and watch the glitter go with it.
- You might have to gently rub away any final residual traces of polish.
- Wash hands then apply nail strengthening conditioner or cuticle oil.
Voila!
