Strike A Pose

Look amazing in photographs wherever you choose to share them on social media, with these simple tips and tricks for great looking skin.

Trial and Error

Make up is key in photographs, if you are not sure what make up looks suit you best, pull the photo albums out and scroll through, can you spot some of the best photo’s of you? why do they look good? notice the hair, the make up, and the colours in your best photograph make a note, eventually you will see a pattern.Take a photo of the photo’s you like on your mobile phone and make a note of the products you used if you can remember or try at least to match them as best as you can.

Talk to make up consultants at counters, after all they can give your free advice on products and what suits you, some even offer free make overs, take photo’s as they apply make up or even film it on your eye phone, I learnt how to do amazing smokey eyes after having been shown three mini demo’s by the make up counter assistant at MAC.

If you can, try and photograph, video and test everything in natural daylight before you buy, as it gives you a great indication of how you will look in the photographs.

Set the Foundation

Lisa Eldrige beauty guru says “If you’re tagged in photographs it’s worth investing in a special no SPF foundation for these occasions, as they can turn a gorgeous party face into a ghoulishly pale one” There are lots of great foundations swatches you can view on line, from make up websites to beauty blogs, they all are a good resource.

Shine

Finally don’t forget to eliminate the shine try Shiseido anti shine lotion or try a fine translucent mattifying powder to erase any potential shiny spots.

Strike a Pose Like the celebrities

Trick. 1:Turn partially sideways to the camera, placing one foot in front of the other. Point your toe to the camera and place your weight on your back foot.

Trick. 2:Pull head forward slightly to reduce the appearance of any double chin.

Trick. 3:Hold your arms slightly away from your body. This keeps upper arm flab from flattening out and therefore appearing flabbier (much like thighs do when one sits on a couch). Paris Hilton has mastered the art of doing this!

Trick . 4:Pull your shoulders back, chest forward and gently suck stomach in. Be careful not to suck stomach so far in that your ribs show, thereby ‘giving it away’

Tip. 5:For a more natural look, look away from the camera, then turn towards it, breaking into a smile just before the camera clicks. Your smile will appear fresh, not frozen. This trick takes practice behind closed, locked doors.
